Generic Test Tags
TAG COLOURS MADE EASY
The use of different tag colours in the construction industry can be easy to remember. Just think of the word rugby and the four seasons then you can determine the coloured tag to use when testing in the construction industry.
The consonants in the word RuGBY stand for each of the tag colours, Red, Green, Blue and Yellow.
The colour of the tag then represents the period:
Red represents heat and is for “summer” from December to February
Green represents leaves and is for “autumn” from March to May
Blue represents cold and is for “winter” from June to August
Yellow represents flowers and is for “spring” from September to November
Note: NSW now follows the Australian Standard AS/NZS3012 for re-testing periods in the construction industry. This came into effect on 01 January 2012.
